The project of Fier and Levan interurban highway is part of an important corridor from Lushnja to Vlore.

It traverses Seman River, a significant water flow joined with Gjanica River and a great number of irrigation and drainage canals as well as several small hydraulic and drainage structures.

The old road axis that used to go through the place of Apollonia cultural heritage and within the determined perimeter for its protection was modified in consideration of the objections of the Ministry of Culture and those of the population and local authorities. The actual road axis passes through a roundabout outline (about 2.5 km) away from this place.
